Evan started life pretty decently. He grew up in a north side catholic orphanage
where he learned that not only was the lord looking out for him, but was actively
trying to test him. That's what the Nuns said anyway. Evan took it to mean that
hard work would never get him anywhere. Fortunately he had a natural
predisposition for being inactive.
Throughout most of his short life, Evan has made repeatedly bad choices, all
with the single thought that eventually he'll win, and come out on top. What
started as an occasional bet at the racetracks led to entire paychecks funneled
into illconcieved get-rich quick schemes.
He met Jenny December of 2022, and the attraction was instantaneous. She was young
successful, beautiful and most importantly to Evan, had alot of money just sitting
around from her inheretance. His affection is true, but his addiction has a
stronger pull on him than any feelings for the uptown girl.
His story intersects Hanashi two weeks after he's given a two
thousand dollar ring to Jenny, promising marriage and to stop gambling.
Unfortunately the money used to buy the ring was not his own, and Karma has
something to say about that.

Bio:

Jenny is a good girl, and has led a very sheltered life. Raised just outside
the city in the pricy Avalon district, Jenny's grown up away from most of the
ugliness the inner city has to offer. Unspoiled by her easy life, Jenny is
very down to earth and friendly.
She finished art school early in 2021 and quickly got employed by the ritzy
Carlton Design. She's got a blossiming reputation for being just ahead of
the trend, and is already adding to the piles of money her father left her
when he died in 2018 of a heartattack.
Jenny loves Evan first and foremost in her life. She knows of his somewhat
seedier lifestyle, but truely believes that she belongs with him. His
affection for her is almost endless, and from that she draws her faith.
Her mother believes Evan is rotten to the core, but can do little to sway
the mind of her blissfully ignorant daughter.
Her story intersects Hanashi in early April 2023, a few weeks
after Evan proposes to her. Will Karma save her from the leech she loves?
